Hi Susan -- thank you for your thoughtful comments in your White Paper. I understand your position and I can see that you are passionate and informed on this issue.
I am an Insurance professional like yourself. I find myself entirely in the other camp. I am glad that Health Care "Reform" is (finally) being analyzed and actually debated -- something that was promised by the Administration but never delivered. (Remember the campaign promise, "we'll televise the entire conversation on C-Span"? Well that never happened -- it was entirely a backroom deal.) I have serious doubts that this "Reform" will deliver what its backers claim. I also have serious doubts that the legislators who voted for it even knew what was IN the law before voting to pass it.
The Health Care system in this country does need to be improved. But "change" in and of itself is not always good -- you can make things worse if you are not careful. "Obamacare" would make things worse, not better. Let's scrap this boondoggle and start over... we can start with tort reform and allowing the same Policies to be sold across State lines. ~Richard
